Philosophy

Company Background

Founded in 1994, Gameday Management Group has grown from a staff of one to a comprehensive transportation management services company working on some of the largest special events in the world. From Olympic Games to Presidential Inaugurations, Gameday has established itself as a leader in its industry through an unrivaled standard of client service. Our consistent growth and ability to retain top level events as repeat clients speaks well of our ability to offer a high level, valued service.

Our Team

Gameday has assembled an experienced staff of transportation industry professionals whose primary objective is to establish trusted, long lasting relationships with our clients. With a full time staff of 11 representing over 50 years combined experience, our team has worked for some of the world’s largest and most demanding events. This experience, combined with a strong client service focus, results in an unrivaled product for the transportation services industry.

Senior members of the Gameday team include:

Tony Vitrano, President: Tony is a renowned, “hands-on” transportation management executive with more than two decades of success in public and private transportation partnerships and special event services. His record of providing on-time, on-budget transport services has made him a popular choice to head many complicated transportation projects. Si  nce forming the company in 1994, Tony’s operational knowledge and commitment to detail have secured Gameday work with many high-profile events including the 1994 World Cup, 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics, 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics and each NFL Super Bowl since 2000. Tony is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia where he now serves on the School of Business Curriculum Advisory Committee.

Mike Witte, Senior VP, Operations: Mike is a detail oriented, goal focused professional with over 19 years experience in transportation and logistic operations. After serving thirteen years in the U.S. Army / National Guard, Mike joined Gameday during the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Since then, Mike has held several senior management positions to include; Co-President, Transportation Committee for the 1999 NCAA Final Four, Venue Transportation General Manager for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics and Olympic Security Consultant for the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics. Mike now oversees operational systems and procedures for all Gameday projects. Mike completed his B.A. in Criminal Justice and Social Science from Castleton State College (VT).

Deborah McCandless, VP Operations: Joining Gameday in 2003, Debbie has worked with many of Gameday’s premier accounts from an operational standpoint, including Daytona International Speedway, International Speedway Corporation (proposed Staten Island track) and 2005 Presidential Inauguration. Her current appointment involves Debbie as the company’s day to day business manager while still contributing her valuable curbside knowledge to events as needed. Debbie graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education, Sports Management concentration.

Cristine Paull, VP Operations: In working in and around the special events transportation industry since 1994, Cristine possesses a wealth of multi-venue planning and operational knowledge. Combined with additional experience including sales, marketing & recruitment; Cristine has a focus on the global view of business development in seeking strategic alliances, new product features and new target markets. Cristine holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from The Ohio University.
